Bulletin

Solar activity slightly increased during the period. Two C-class flares were recorded: a C8.1 flare peaking at the beginning of the period (13:47 UT), and then a C1.7 event peaking at 14:39 UT. Both flares originated from NOAA 2699 active region, which developed it's magnetic configuration from beta to beta-gamma. Proton flux levels are at background values and are expected to remain so. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed. C-class flaring remains possible, with a small chance on an isolated M-class flare. Solar wind speed decreased from 425 km/s till at 390 km/s during the period. Interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is below 5 nT. Geomagnetic conditions have been very quiet. A low latitude extension of the northern polar coronal hole has still a slight chance to affect geomagnetic environment in the next 48hrs, unsettled conditions can be expected then.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 024, based on 13 stations.
