Bulletin

The Catania sunspot group 73 (NOAA AR 2007) produced several low B-class flares during last 24 hours. We expect this level of solar activity to continue in the coming hours. During last 24 hours there were no Earth directed CMEs reported. The coronagraph data confirmed that the CME reported yesterday was indeed very narrow and slow and it will not arrive to the Earth. The solar protons remained at background level. The Earth is presently inside the slow solar wind with the speed of about 390 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is about 3 nT. The arrival of the fast solar wind associated with the equatorial coronal hole, which reached central meridian in the morning of February 26, might be expected at the Earth tomorrow. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet, and we expect quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 10 stations.
