Bulletin

The solar activity has been quiet over the past 24 hours. The visible solar disc was spotless, and the X-ray flux remained below B-level. Flaring conditions is expected to remain at low levels.

No Earth directed coronal mass ejection has been observed. The greater than 10 MeV solar protons flux remained at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so.

The solar wind speed ranged between 440 and 480 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total interplanetary magnetic field strength remained below 7 nT, and the southward magnetic component fluctuated between -4.6 and 5.3 nT. The solar wind parameters are expected to continue to be slightly enhanced due to the influence of the large and patchy coronal hole (of negative polarity) that reached the central meridian on Feb 4.

The Kp index (NOAA) and the local K index (Dourbes) ranged between 1-3. The conditions are expected to remain quiet to unsettled due to the slight enhanced solar wind conditions.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 08 stations.
