Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels. The solar disk was devoid of sunspots. No coronal mass ejections (CME) were observed over the last 24 hours. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values.

Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

The earth environment remained under the influence of a weak solar wind stream from a positive polarity coronal hole. Solar wind speed gradually increased to a maximum near 460 km/s around 06UT, then subsided to its current values just below 400 km/s. Bz varied between -5 and +6 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field was directed away from the Sun (positive sector). Quiet geomagnetic conditions were observed with an unsettled interval recorded at Dourbes (06-09UT).

Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions are expected, with a decreasing chance on an isolated active episode.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 25 stations.
