Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels. The Sun remains spotless and no significant flares have been recorded. No Earth directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed over the last 24 hours in the available coronagraph imagery. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values. Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

The solar wind fluctuated between 360 and 430 km/s (DSCOVR). Bz varied between -4 and +5 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field was predominantly directed towards the Sun (negative sector). Quiet geomagnetic conditions were observed with the Kp index (NOAA) ranging between 1-2 and the local K index (Dourbes) ranging between 1-2.

Quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected to continue over the next 48 hours as the solar wind is expected to remain at background levels.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 19 stations.
