Bulletin

Solar activity is very low and during last 24 hours there was no C-class or even B-class flares reported. We expect such a low level of the flaring activity to persist in the coming hours. There were no Earth directed CMEs reported and the solar protons remained at the background level.

The Earth is presently inside the slow solar wind with the speed of about 320 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude amounts about 5 nT. The fast solar wind associated with the patchy negative polarity coronal hole, apparently connected to the southern polar coronal hole (which reached central meridian on June 21), is expected to arrive to the Earth on June 25. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet, and we expect such a geomagnetic conditions to continue in the coming hours. Due to expected arrival of the fast solar wind, unsettled geomagnetic conditions might be expected late on June 25.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 012, based on 23 stations.
