Solar activity was at very low levels. The earth-facing solar hemisphere was devoid of sunspots. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have been observed in available coronagraphic imagery. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values.
Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.
Solar wind speed values were around 330 km/s during the first half of the period, then around 360 km/s during the second half (ACE). Bz varied between -5 and +6 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field (phi angle) was predominantly directed towards the Sun (negative sector). Geomagnetic activity was at quiet levels (both Kp and K Dourbes).
Geomagnetic activity is expected to remain at mostly quiet levels.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 14 stations.
