Bulletin

Solar flaring activity is low, with only one B-class flare reported during last 24 hours. However, as the NOAA AR 2770 presently has beta configuration of its photospheric magnetic field, it might be the source of B-class and also isolated C-class flares in the coming hours. During last 24 hours there were no Earth directed CMEs and the solar protons remained at the background level. Although Earth is still inside the fast solar wind, the wind speed has strongly decreased during last 24 hours and its present value is 510 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is about 3 nT. The fast solar wind associated with the equatorial coronal hole of positive polarity that has reached central meridian in the morning of August 03, can be expected at Earth tomorrow. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet, and we expect quiet to unsettled conditions in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 012, based on 20 stations.
