Bulletin

There are presently two sunspot groups observed on the visible side of the solar disc. Catania group 44 (NOAA AR region 2775) and Catania group 43 (NOAA AR region 2774) have beta and alfa configuration of their photospheric magnetic field, respectively. Solar flaring activity is low and there were no C-class or even B-class flares reported during last 24 hours. We expect a low level of flaring activity in the coming hours. The B-class and isolated C-class flares are possible, although not very probable. During last 24 hours no Earth directed CMEs have been observed in coronagraph data, and proton flux levels remained at background values.

Earth is presently inside the slow solar wind with the speed of about 320 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is around 5 nT. The geomagnetic conditions are quiet, and we expect quiet to possibly unsettled conditions in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 016, based on 19 stations.
