Bulletin

NOAA AR 2339 (Catania 54) at the east limb produced an X2.7 flare peaking at 22:11 UT on May 5, with an associated CME (not expected to arrive to the Earth). NOAA AR 2335 (Catania 51) produced two M-class flares (M1.3 at 14:25 UT and M2.6 at 17:24 UT). These active regions have potential for major flares.

A shock driven by the CME from May 2 arrived to the Earth at 00:50 UT, producing active geomagnetic conditions. Isolated active periods can still occur today. Quiet conditions are expected tomorrow.
