Bulletin

Solar activity was very low with X-ray flux remaining below C level. The Catania groups 77 and 78 (NOAA 2454 and 2456) were relatively stable and inactive. Also the new region on the East now numbered Catania 80 (NOAA 2457) remained inactive during the period. Quiet conditions are expected with a possibility for an isolated C flare. No Earth directed CMEs have been recorded in coronagraph data. Solar wind speed further declined towards nominal values from around 430 km/s to around 380 km/s. Total magnetic field increased from 3 nT to 6.5 nT with a peak of 8 nT. Bz was mostly positive but reached a peak under -7nT. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to unsettled (both local K Dourbes and NOAA Kp 0-3). Nominal solar wind conditions and quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions are expected to continue.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 055, based on 09 stations.
