Bulletin

Solar activity remains to be low, without C-class flares reported. The strongest reported flare in the last 24 hours was the B6.2 flare which peaked at 00:52 UT today. The C-class flares are still possible but not very probable in the coming hours (probability about 20%). No Earth directed CMEs were observed in the last 24 hours.

The solar wind speed currently amounts 400 km/s, and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is about 7 nT. The increase of the solar wind speed and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude observed at about 03:00 UT this morning indicates arrival of the fast solar wind associated with the equatorial coronal hole (seemingly connected to the northern polar coronal hole), which reached central meridian on February 26. Further increase of the solar wind speed is possible in the coming hours. Currently, geomagnetic conditions are quiet to unsettled. We can expect unsettled to active geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 067, based on 09 stations.
