Bulletin

Solar flaring activity was restricted to a single B-class flare produced by NOAA 2524 from behind the west limb. Active region NOAA 2526 was quiet. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections have been observed.

Quiet conditions are expected.

Earth remained under the influence of the positive transequatorial coronal hole stream. Solar wind speed was variable between mostly 520 to 570 km/s, ending the period near 530 km/s. Bz has been undulating between -5 and +5 nT. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to unsettled and are expected to persist for the next two days.

A small negative equatorial coronal hole and associated co-rotating interaction region may start influencing the earth environment late on 1 April or on 2 April, possibly resulting in minor to major geomagnetic storming.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 013, based on 16 stations.
