Bulletin

Solar flaring activity is low, without C-class or even B-class flares reported during last 24 hours. The only numbered sunspot group (Catania group 29, NOAA region 2758) observed on the visible side of the solar disc continues to decay. During last 24 hours there were no Earth directed CMEs observed and the solar protons remained at the background level. The solar wind speed is presently about 350 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is 6 nT. We might expect increase of the solar wind speed later today or tomorrow morning, due to the possible arrival of the solar wind from the negative polarity coronal hole that crossed central meridian in the evening of March 8. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet to unsettled and we expect them to stay so in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 21 stations.
