Solar flaring activity was low over the past 24 hours, with only C-class flares identified. A total of 6 numbered sunspot groups were identified on the disk over the past 24 hours, all having alpha or beta magnetic configuration. Solar flaring activity is expected to be low over the next 24 hours, with C-class flares very likely and a chance for M-class flares.
No new Earth-directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected in the available coronagraph images.
Slow solar wind conditions were recorded over the past 24 hours. The interplanetary magnetic field was around 8 nT then at 07:30 UTC started to rise to 14nT. The Bz reached a minimum value of -1nT. The solar wind velocity was around 400 km/s. Slow solar wind conditions are expected in the next 24 hours.
Geomagnetic activity was globally and locally quiet to unsettled over the past 24 hours. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to remain quiet to unsettled in the next 24h.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained below the 10 pfu threshold and is expected to remain so over the next days.
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux measured by GOES 19 was briefly above the 1000 pfu threshold on Nov 19 around 12:00 UTC and Nov 20 around 11:50 . Electron flux levels are expected to cross briefly the 1000 pfu threshold over the next 24 hours. The 24-hour electron fluence was at moderate levels and is expected to remain at moderate levels over the next 24 hours.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 061, based on 09 stations.
