Bulletin

Four weak C-class flares were detected during the past 24 hours. Three of the observed flares originated from the Catania sunspot group 46 (NOAA AR 1723) which is growing fast and has beta-gamma configuration of the photosperic magnetic field. The C-class flares are probable, in particular from the Catania sunspot group 46. The M-class flares are possible but not very probable. The Earth is currently inside a slow solar wind with a speed of about 360 km/s. Small low-latitude coronal hole in the northern hemisphere will pass the central meridian later today, however not much impact is expected from this coronal hole. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is about 5 nT, with its Bz component most of the time steadily positive. The geomagnetic conditions are quiet and expected to remain so.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 061, based on 11 stations.
